10 April 2024

Following its unveiling at the Geneva Motor Show, Renault 5 E-Tech electric will be on show to the general public in France for the first time. What better place than the Pompidou Centre – an iconic venue in the heart of Paris – for an exceptional performance of music and dance set against a vibrant backdrop, along with a pop-up exhibition.

Renault 5 E-Tech electric on show

On 23 April 2024, the “WHAT THE FIVE SHOW” will take place on the forecourt of the Pompidou Centre from 5:55 pm. The iconic Renault 5 E-Tech electric will be at the centre of a specially designed showcase performance. The immersive, exciting WT5 show includes five scenes, each one turning the spotlight on the spirit of Renault 5 E-Tech electric. Performances by two iconic French figures of street culture and contemporary art – visual artist Cyril Lancelin and choreographer Sadeck Berrabah – will make the show even more special.

Talented and iconic French artists making the WT5 show even more special

Artist Cyril Lancelin, also known as Town and Concrete, was given free rein to design an exceptional scenography in pop art colours, featuring immersive sculptures in the colours of Renault 5 E-Tech electric. With his sculptures and pictures, Cyril Lancelin takes spectators into a digital world, blurring the boundaries between fiction and reality. Using parametric tools, he applies a vocabulary of classical forms and volumetric spaces, essential to the creation of unique structures.

Dancer and choreographer Sadeck Berrabah is recognised for his show ‘Murmuration’, a hypnotic performance in which he develops his own choreographic style based on the geometry of motion. Leading his troupe of 250 dancers, Sadeck has conceived and created an original performance to reflect the emotion inspired by this all-electric pop icon.

Finally, the world-renowned harmonie de la Musique de La Garde Républicaine will also be present to close the show, with a line-up of 60 musicians.

Extending the wt5 show: a pop-up exhibition open to the general public

For its first public appearance in France, Renault 5 E-Tech electric will be on display in Pop Yellow! Pop Green! and Midnight Blue in the forum of the Pompidou Centre (reception area) from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm on 23 April. From 23 to 26 April, members of the public will be able to stroll around and admire huge sculptures in pop art colours, created specially for the event by artist Cyril Lancelin.
