Renault SYMBIOZ on show at the “Salone del Mobile di Milano” from 16 to 22 April 2018
Each year, the Milan Furniture Fair exhibits the trends of tomorrow as expressed through the creations of designers and architects from over 160 countries across the world. After presenting its TWIN’Z in 2013, Renault is back this year, exhibiting concept car SYMBIOZ. The vehicle is being presented to the press and general public, in partnership with fabrics creator Aleksandra GACA, at the Dutch Designers’ Pavilion at Palazzo Turati in Milan.

SYMBIOZ prefigures Renault’s vision of the future for mobility: a self-driving, electric, connected concept car that is the mobile extension of a house presented at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 2017. To intensify the feeling of continuity and symbiosis between the vehicle and house, Aleksandra GACA has created a Bloko fabric in 3D-material, used for both Renault's SYMBIOZ seats and a large circular couch that surrounds the concept car when it becomes an “extra room” in the house.
With the SYMBIOZ concept car, Renault points to its commitment to developing interiors in which the design and comfort are inspired directly by the world of architecture and interior design. Each year, Renault’s designers comb the aisles of the “Salone del Mobile di Milano” to glean ideas and imagine the interior spaces of Renault’s future models.
