Order books now open in France for the New CAPTUR

04 April 2017

  • The Renault Captur – France’s most popular urban crossover in 2016, with ales to the tune of 70,769 units – has been reinvented to combine even more distinctive styling with the fitment of new in-car technologies.
  • The New Captur will be available initially in INITIALE PARIS trim.
  • The Captur spearheads Renault’s crossover range, alongside the Koleos and Kadjar.

The New Captur carries over all the features that helped to forge the model’s original success, including a stylish two-tone finish. Indeed, when it comes to personalising their vehicle, customers now benefit from even wider variety thanks to the addition of three new body colours, namely Atacama Orange, Ocean Blue and Amethyst Black (Initiale Paris versions), plus a new roof colour (Platine Grey).
The New Renault Captur’s comprehensive customisation programme covers the interior, too, enabling buyers to fashion a vehicle that truly matches their personality.

• Renault’s hallmark lighting signature

The lower section of the New Renault Captur’s front bumper incorporates the brand’s signature C-shaped LED daytime running lights, and the rear lights carry over the same design which is visible at all times, night and day.

Like all the brand’s recent models, the New Renault Captur is available with Full-LED Pure Vision head lights which combine great looks with enhanced safety and reduced glare.

• Crossover cues

The New Renault Captur sports an even greater family resemblance to its bigger sibling, the Kadjar. Its grille has been redesigned and is now more similar to that of Renault’s other crossovers, while its rugged stance is further emphasised by new skid plates incorporated in the front and rear bumpers.

• Refined interior appointments and user-friendly equipment

The New Renault Captur’s cabin is even more refined thanks to the use of new plastics and a foam-backed dashboard. Higher-end versions come with a full-grain leather-trimmed steering wheel, the gear lever and door panels have been redesigned and the LED ceiling light incorporates individual reading lights.

The New Renault Captur carries over the extensive equipment specification that helped to forge the original’s reputation as an owner-friendly car, including the Easy Life glovebox draw and removable seat covers. The interior can be adapted to meet the carrying needs of the moment thanks to a sliding rear bench seat and modulable boot floor design.

Technologies to assist the New Captur’s drivers

The New Renault Captur comes with a long list of advanced equipment and driver aids, including:

  • A choice of three multimedia systems:
    - R&GO (complete with smartphone cradle),
    - Media Nav Evolution (complete with seven-inch display): the market’s best value for money,
    - R-LINK Evolution: a connected navigation system including Android Auto™ smartphone compatibility for the very first time.

Audio options have been extended with the addition of a premium Bose® system complete with six high-fidelity Bose® speakers and a boot-mounted subwoofer.

  • New technologies designed to facilitate drivers’ lives:
    - Easy Park Asist,
    - Blind Sport Warning,
    - Automatically-folding door mirrors,
    - Front and rear parking sensors and reversing camera.

Introduction of Renault’s INITIALE PARIS signature

INITIALE PARIS versions of the New Renault Captur feature an exclusive finish founded on rigorously-selected quality materials. They also boast a specific chrome grille, bespoke 17-inch wheels, an exclusive body colour (Amethyst Black) and Nappa leather upholstery.

INITIALE PARIS versions are equipped with the Android Auto™-compatible R-LINK Evolution navigation system as standard, along with Bose® audio and the latest driver aids.
